The IIT Patna Alumni Association

A volunteer-run association serving the alumni of IIT Patna and working closely with the Institute.

In brief

The IIT Patna Alumni Association is a volunteer-run association committed to a thriving and engaged community of alumni, students, faculty and stakeholders. It serves as a bridge between the Institute and its graduates, strengthening the bond between them and promoting mutual growth and development.

Purpose: A lasting bridge between IIT Patna and its graduates, promoting mutual growth.
Objectives: Community, professional networking, institutional support, learning, recognition and social impact.
Operations: Events, mentorship, outreach, fundraising, partnerships, representation and cultural engagement.

Our purpose

IITPAA was formed to give the alumni of IIT Patna a lasting, organised way to stay connected to the Institute and to each other. The association is run by its board of directors in a voluntary capacity, and works in close collaboration with the IIT Patna Alumni and International Relations Cell.

Our focus is simple: a well-governed association, clear communication with alumni, and a working relationship with IIT Patna that benefits students, alumni and the Institute alike.

Leadership

IITPAA is led by its board of directors, who serve in a voluntary capacity.

Harshavardhan Shinde

Director

Harshavardhan Shinde graduated from IIT Patna in 2015 and is a Technology Consultant with ten years of professional experience. He leads Straitworks, a Singapore-based technology firm specialising in Cloud FinOps, Software, Data and AI solutions. His work centres on helping organisations get more value from their cloud, software and data investments. As a Director of IITPAA, he focuses on building a well-run association with clear communication and an engaged alumni community. He is based in Singapore.

Satyam Tiwari

Director

Satyam Tiwari completed his M.Tech at IIT Patna in 2025 and is a technology and engineering leader with fifteen years of professional experience. Over that time he has built and led engineering teams and taken technology programmes from concept through delivery. He brings that delivery experience to the association’s work on structure, process and follow-through. As a Director of IITPAA, he focuses on strengthening how the association serves alumni and works with the Institute. He remains closely connected to IIT Patna through the alumni community.

Panav Raaj

Memberships

Panav Raaj graduated from IIT Patna in 2025 with a B.Tech and works as a Robotics Engineer. At the Institute he served as an Undergraduate Representative, was Team Captain of Robocon and founded the IIT Patna Rover Team, and was part of the contingent that won a Gold Medal at Inter IIT Tech Meet 12.0. As part of IITPAA he works on memberships.

Chirag Garg

Student Representative, General Secretary - IIT Patna AIR

Chirag Garg is a Computer Science Engineer at IIT Patna, due to graduate in 2027. He serves as Student Representative and General Secretary at the IIT Patna Alumni and International Relations Cell (AIR), the Institute body the association works closely with.
